Easy DIY Installation
Measure
To begin, measure your pets to determine where the template will be placed on your door. Next, take a pencil and draw on your template where you will be cutting your opening.
Cut
Take your drill and use it to create holes in the 4 corners of your template. Next, take your jab saw or jigsaw and follow your pencil markings, creating your dog door opening, with your drilled holes being the beginning points.
Install
Line up both sides of your dog door inside of your cutout and clamp them together. Grab your drill, and use it to make holes for the screws around the top, bottom and sides of the overlapping sleeve joints of the external and internal frames.
Seal
Using your silicone gun, apply a line of silicone that covers the outer frame of the dog door on both the inside and out. Apply another line where the overlapping stops. Wait for 2 hours, then remove the clamps.
