Easy DIY Installation
Measure
Begin by measuring your pets, with the purpose of finding out where the template should be positioned on your door. After placing the template, pencil in the entire location where you will be cutting.
Cut
Take your drill and create a hole in each of the 4 corners of your template. Next, use your jab saw or jigsaw and cut out your door opening, by carefully following your pencil markings.
Install
Grab each side of your dog door and place them inside of your door cutout. Now, clamp them together tightly. Using your drill, make holes for screws around the sides, top and bottom of the overlapping sleeve joints of the internal and external frames.
Seal
Apply a line of silicone that covers both the inner and outer frame of your dog door. Next, apply another silicone line inside of the frame where the overlapping has stopped. Let 2 hours pass, then remove the clamps.
