It’s here, at last! We are proud to present the latest addition to the eXtreme® family, the Contain and Remote Trainer. More than just an electric dog fence, the Contain & Remote Trainer features a handheld remote that you can use to help train your dog.
We at eXtreme® understand that your number one priority is to keep your dog safe at home with you, where he belongs. The Contain & Remote Trainer fence is designed to do exactly that. However, we take that a step further.
Perhaps your dog likes to dig, jump on people, or rummage through your trash. These are situations that are fairly common among dog owners. Having a handheld remote trainer is the perfect way to correct these types of problem behaviors in dogs.
On the other hand, perhaps you would like to use positive reinforcement to train your dog basic obedience. Putting the remote trainer in beep only mode can help you achieve this.
Our rechargeable collars only take 2 hours to charge, after the initial charge of 8 hours. Designed for dogs that are 40 pounds and up, our dog fence collar will work on big and small dogs alike. The collar is adjustable for neck sizes ranging from 8-27 inches.
Train up to 3 dogs at once with our remote trainer/fence combo. You can purchase additional collars to contain up to 5 dogs. As each collar is programmed independently, this means that your little guy won’t have to have the same level of correction as your big dog will.

Everything appears to be going well thus far. Within only a few days, our sizable hulk is already retreating from the boundary line upon hearing the beep or feeling the vibration. From my experience, simply using the vibrate function on the remote is enough to capture his attention. However, the only downside I’ve noticed is that the robust 14-gauge wire cannot be easily connected to the speaker wire type connectors on the transmitter. It would be ideal if the connectors were more durable, with screw-down style mechanisms. As a workaround, I had to improvise with some plugs, but overall, everything is functioning satisfactorily.

This system is absolutely amazing! I searched all throughout Canada for something that combined a fence system with a plug-in controller, rechargeable collar, and remote, but had no luck. That’s why I ended up purchasing from the US. This system has made it easy to enforce boundaries, even when we’re hiking off property; it’s so simple to train our dogs to stay within the designated areas. The collar has 10 vibration and shock levels, and my 7-month-old lab responds well to level 2. It only took two weeks of 10-minute training sessions, three times a day, to teach our pup to respect the boundary. Now, even when chasing a ball, she’ll stop six feet from the fence and wait for me to retrieve the ball. This system not only keeps our dog safe by preventing her from chasing school buses but also allows her to safely play throughout our entire property. We opted to purchase the thicker wire and install it above ground using stapling techniques. Once we no longer needed the flags, we were able to easily navigate the yard and even cut the lawn without any issues. We also ran the wire through a culvert at the base of our driveway, and the system worked great even under a foot of snow. We mounted and plugged in the controller inside an enclosed garden shed, set it on a timer to turn on every morning at 6 am and turn off at midnight. Professional companies charge thousands of dollars for similar systems, and often require professional services to train the dog, but this system is so simple to use, even a child could do it. The company was very responsive to our questions and concerns, and we’re confident this system will meet our future needs. Although we chose not to bury the wire so that it’s easy to take with us when we move next year, the system itself is top-notch and has worked flawlessly.

I was looking forward to using this system as I liked having the contain and train(remote) abilities using the same collar, however the transmitter(base) didn’t work out of the box. It was very inconsistent when it would beep the collar and when it would vibrate or zap, as well as the boundary width was very short(3′ on the highest level). Troubleshot the transmitter a bunch but nothing fixed the problem. Talked with support and they sent me another transmitter, but unfortunately I ran into the same thing. So I ended up returning the product.
A 3 star rating for the product, but 5 star rating for the customer service and all they did for me. They went above and beyond what I expected and were more then willing to work with me as much as they could. You don’t find companies/people very often who are willing to work with you and make things right, and I truly appreciated that.

As a dog owner who has struggled with controlling my pet’s behavior, I recently decided to try out this remote control and dog fence system. This device has proven to be a game changer in terms of training my furry little friend. It has various modes that allow me to control his behavior and teach him basic commands. The remote transmitter is compact and lightweight, so it is easy to operate and carry around. Moreover, the range is impressive, giving me peace of mind when my dog is off-leash. The collar is also comfortable and adjustable, so my dog is content wearing it. Overall, the dog remote control system is a great investment for any pet owner who is struggling to train their furry friend.

Up to this point, everything has gone smoothly as the setup for the system was effortless. However, the instructions repeatedly mentioned the need for “twisted wire” without providing a separate component with that label. This terminology could mislead someone without electrical knowledge to believe that they only need to physically twist the wire in a certain way to create a barrier that would prevent their dog from crossing. In actuality, we had to run wire from our house to the property line to create the boundary loop, but this section was a part of our dog’s designated area. It turns out that we needed to purchase the twisted wire separately, which is an inconvenience considering that it seemed reasonable for this item to be included in the designated kit for this application.

Loving this system! Works great for my 2 pups!! I like that I can use the remote outside of the yard. Very convenient. Would recommend and buy again!

Won’t work with out Great Pyrenes dogs. I got the system with 2 collars and installed the fence around an acreage of 2.5 acres. Put it 3 ft from our electric fence to make sure that didn’t interfere and only buried it about 3 in below ground. Turned on the system and had a breakage. Ended up getting a tool that would allow me to find where it broke and got it fixed. Turned system back on and it reported no breakage.
I then took one of the collars to find out where to put my markers and I kept getting closer and closer to where the wire was installed. It didn’t register a beep until I was 6 in from the wire, 6 actual inches, 3 inches above ground straight above the wire. My dogs are great Pyrenes, their necks are way above the height. I talked to customer service they sent me a new box and had the same problem. 2 collars. Same Thing. By the time I got the system installed I was way beyond the 1 yr limit so now I just have to swallow the money invested. Not sure if another brand is better but I can’t trust my dogs to this.

eXtreme Dog Fence® Contain & Train System – 16 Gauge × 1
Add more collars × 1
Add more wire × 1
Length:
Add 2000 ft. Wire (2500 ft. Continuous Spool)
Training Flags (50) × 2
Lightning Surge Protector × 1
Installed the system 3 ft from our electric fence. Covered over 2.5 acres. Buried it 3 in below ground with a trencher. had a breakage so bought a tool to find that and fixed the break. Turned on the system and all seemed good. took a collar to find where to put my flags and couldn’t get the beep until I was 6 in above the wire. 6 actual inches so 3 inches off the ground. And that is where the beep was not to mention the shock for the dog. I tried turning up the box didn’t help. Contacted CS and they sent me a new box and same problem. Tried with either collar didn’t make a difference. My dogs are Great Pyrenes and their necks are way above that point so this is basically useless for them. Didn’t get it installed until way after the warranty date so out my investment.
