Salmonella can cause lethargic behavior and loss of appetite among pets. Some other symptoms include abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. In addition to pets, humans can become infected too, usually after coming into contact with contaminated food or packaging or infected pets. You should seek medical attention if you think you or your pet have become infected with the Salmonella bacteria.
