The recall was initiated due to possible Salmonella contamination after the reported illness of a dog in Missouri. Blackman Industries has been working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to both determine the cause of the contamination and identify any further products that might have been contaminated.

Salmonella bacteria can cause diarrhea, fever, nausea, and abdominal pain in humans and animals. Infected pets might also display lethargic activity and loss of appetite. If consumers believe they or their pets have been exposed to or show signs of Salmonella infection, they should contact their veterinarian or a health professional.

For a full refund, consumers should return any recalled
product they have bought to the retailer they purchased it from.

They can also contact Blackman Industries at 1-913-342-5010 with any questions.
