- For the Roasted American Pig Ears Dog Treats, look for clear plastic bags with 12 pig ears with UPC code 647263899158.
- For the American Variety Pack Dog Treats, look for 32-oz clear plastic bags with UPC code 490830400086.
Both products have a “best by” date of 13SEP2014DEN and were distributed at Target stores nationwide in August 2012.
Salmonella can infect both pets and humans. Consumers should seek medical help if think they or their pets have been infected with Salmonella. Symptoms include fever, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and lethargy. Infected humans also might show nausea, vomiting, and even bloody diarrhea.
Consumers can return any of the infected product to their place of purchase for a full refund.
