On May 5, 2012, Diamond® Pet Foods expanded an earlier recall to include nine batches of its dry pet food formulas. The recall was a precautionary measure that included batches of dry pet food formulas made between the dates of 12/9/11 and 4/7/12. Possible Salmonella contamination is cited as the reason for the recall. Diamond® Pet Foods expanded an earlier recall of some of its products shipped from the company’s Gaston, South Carolina, plant. Issued on April 26, 2012, the recall was updated to include certain products of Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul™ Adult Light Formula dry dog food.
